Designhus organizes an exhibition about the Danish designer Finn Juhl (1912-1989). As a tribute to this furniture architect, Designhus Tervuren presents a fine selection of Finn Juhl’s furniture design from 4 to 30 October 2022. Finn Juhl is remembered as an innovative furniture designer, who challenged traditional thinking and production methods. He designed mainly solid wooden furniture with a seductive vocabulary of form and superlative craftsmanship. In the 1950s Finn Juhl acted as an international ambassador of Danish design. The exhibition in Tervuren offers an overview of Finn Juhl’s refined furniture pieces, mainly designed in the 1940s and 1950s. As part of the exhibition, visitors are invited to sense the tactile aspect of the exquisite furniture by touching them and sitting in them.

The exhibition is launched in collaboration with Onecollection, the Danish company who since 2001, has the unique right to reproduce and sell his furniture under the label ‘House of Finn Juhl’.

On the occasion of Brussels Design September 2022, a thematic selection of Juhls furniture design will already be shown from 13 to 30 September 2022 at Husk Gallery in Rivoli Brussels. During its exhibition with Belgian artist Peter Depelchin (b1985), Husk Gallery focuses Finn Juhl’s pieces reflecting the contemporary art of his time, and highlights “A Study for an Art Collector”, Juhl’s interior design project for art collectors presented in 1948. Go to to find more information.
